New Balance collaborations seem to be arriving in stores on a weekly basis this year, with the Boston brand tapping everyone from No Vacancy Inn to Ronnie Fieg’s Kith and YCMC. This week, HANON reworks the 577 for the 19th project with New Balance.

New Balance’s 5xx series has seen a lot of love in the past few months, with SneakersNStuff’s brilliant 574 still fresh in our mind. While the 99x line is still largely the fan-favorite, there’s no denying the genius behind some of these more interesting releases, like this week’s project from HANON covering the 577. Celebrating their 19th project in 15 years with New Balance, the new “Flimby Legend” 577 pays homage to the footwear brand’s archives as well as their Made in England tradition. The result is a clean new colorway meant to look like a sample or a standard-issue colorway from the original run that never saw a rerelease. The shoe features several layers across the upper, with those surrounding the heel and toes sections in white or cream colors, while the middle portions stand out in a brilliant navy blue tone.

HANON’s latest work with New Balance, which flips the 577 into a sample-like colorway titled the “Flimby Legend”, will launch on September 20th, 2019 via raffle – which you can enter here. The shoes will retail for $180, a standard in New Balance’s MADE series, and will be a HANON exclusive.
