Converse and Fear of God are back. After the two released a new colorway to finish off 2019 with the last FOG Essentials release, the longtime partners are bringing back the original, fan-favorite black/egret colorway of the Chuck 70 Hi.

Fear of God ESSENTIALS has been on top of the streetwear scene for several years now, as the Los Angeles-based brand’s more affordable collection sold through Pacsun. When the project began back in 2018, founder Jerry Lorenzo had set out to rebuild the Fear of God diffusion line (formerly known as F.O.G.) into something that retained the luxury and nobility of the main Fear of God brand, while still being accessible to those who find their fashion in malls. Essentials hit the nail on the head, finding its groove amongst both obsessive and casual fans of Lorenzo’s. The other important piece of Essentials’ history is the relationship with Converse. While other Fear of God collaborations have garnered insane resale prices over the years, the Converse project was created to give everyone a fair and equal chance to own the Lorenzo-designed footwear, and do so through one of the most important sneakers of all time. Now, a couple years and several colorways later, the team behind Essentials x Converse is re-releasing the original black and cream colorway from 2018.
