Nike SB’s string of Air Jordan 1 releases is not slowing down quite yet, as Eric Koston broke out a second special edition new colorway earlier this week. The new look drops the top on the classic Jordan 1 High “UNC” to mimic a pair from Koston’s childhood, and arrives in stores next week.

We’ve seen quite a few Nike SB-branded Jordan 1s in the past few months, and all of them have been smash hits. After the initial team up between Jordan Brand and SB, which saw the Jordan 1 High releasing with color-changing uppers, the two teamed up again for Eric Koston to deliver his own take on the Jordan 1 Low, which he modeled after the Japan-exclusive Jordan 1 Mid “Midnight Navy” from 2005. Now, just a few weeks after the release, Koston has teased another special take on the low-top Jordan with his name attached. This time around, Eric is taking inspiration from the Jordan 1 High “UNC”, a release he missed out on when the Jordan 1 first dropped. In the product story, Koston remembers staring at the shoes on a clearance rack, in a topless box, with his mom sternly reminding him that the shoes he already had were fine. Needless to say, this hurt him as a child, thinking that $24.99 wasn’t too excessive for a pair of shoes. Now, that price tag is reflected on the inner tag of the new silhouette.
