END. Clothing’s next collaboration with Asics is on the way. Following up on their last project in 2018, this release will feature the GEL-Lyte III constructed from premium materials in a soft grey-based color palette.
Asics’ 30th anniversary celebration of the GEL-Lyte III has brought us some fantastic releases, both new and retro, so far this year. This week, we have an early look at one of their latest, designed in collaboration with the UK-based menswear superstore END. Clothing. This new release marks the first since the two last linked up in 2018, releasing the bright green “Wasabi” GEL-Lyte III, a silhouette which they will continue to use for the latest collaboration. While we are still waiting for END.’s official announcement regarding the story of the new design and release information, we have an early look at the full shoe thanks to some official imagery from SNS by way of HouseofHeat. The next END. GEL-Lyte III begins with a light cream colored collar and two-piece tongue, as well as the perforated leather quarter panels that complete the shoe’s base layer. The toebox, mudguard, and heel counters are all constructed from a premium grey suede, along with the Asics vector logo on either side. The lacing overlays come in a lighter shade of grey suede, olding cream white rope laces in place, while hints of pink along the outer toe, Asics logo, and heel add a pop of color to the soft color scheme. Finally, END. and Asics co-branding on the heels, sockliners, and aglets completes the look.

END. Clothing’s latest signature colorway of Asics’ GEL-Lyte III has not yet been announced for release, only leaked in early images from SNS. The premium grey suede colorway of the classic runner will be available from both END. and select retailers, likely with a price in the $150+ range. UPDATE 10.12.20: END. has officially announced its latest collaboration with Asics, the GEL-Lyte III “Pearl”. Inspired by the traditional 30th-anniversary gift of pearls, this special-edition releases mimic the colors and textures of a pearl for the GL3’s 30th-anniversary. Available exclusively from the British retailer on October 16th, 2020 for $160, you can enter the raffle here.
