Nike SB has tapped Navajo artist and graphic designer Di’Orr Greenwood for a special new take on the Dunk High, deconstructing the model and giving it a bright new colorway inspired by Native American art.

Nike SB has a strong penchant for seeking out and collaborating with exciting partners, from musicians to skaters and artists. This week, a special new project has emerged, which will see the Nike Skateboarding team up with Native American artist Di’Orr Greenwood to deliver her take on the classic SB Dunk High. Pulling inspiration from her roots growing up in the Navajo nation in Northern Arizona, this version of the Dunk deconstructs the shoe, removing excess padding in the collars for a simplified suede upper. The look is intensely colorful, beginning with a bright blue suede base and adding black toe box, as well as lush brown suede overlays for the mudguard and heels. The black Swooshes feature an embroidery of the big dipper constellation, while yellow to brown gradient pieces appear on both the laces and heels.
