Converse are often associated with minimal style and a classic look. This week, a new collaboration from the Boston-based brand was revealed by London’s Footpatrol, showing off the Jack Purcell and Chuck Taylor All Star in a vintage collegiate sportswear theme.

Footpatrol has been specializing in rare and exclusive apparel and footwear since 2002, supplying London and the world with not only specialty product, but their own takes on legendary silhouettes. This week, the UK retailer shared a sneak peek at an upcoming collaboration with Converse, themed after vintage collegiate sportswear. The project includes the Chuck Taylor All Star as well as the Jack Purcell for footwear, and a collection of apparel all connected by a dual-tone theme.

Footpatrol’s latest project with Converse centers around splitting the footwear and apparel down the middle. The Chuck Taylor kicks off the collection with a navy blue hue for the lateral sides of the canvas upper, along with pale white on the medial sides. The vulcanized midsole features burnt yellow ribbing, which matches the single yellow stripe running down the heel. The Jack Purcell follows a similar look in varying shades of grey accompanied by red accents. Both shoes feature a Converse Rubber Company logo underneath their translucent outsoles. For the apparel, Converse and Footpatrol have taken two dual-branded logo sweatshirts and spliced them together, a look which is assumably echoed throughout the rest of the collection.

The new project between Footpatrol and Converse has not yet been announced for release, though they are said to be “coming soon”. The vintage sportswear-inspired collection will likely carry a retail price over that of your every day Converse All-Stars, and release from a short list of retailers.
