Converse is killing it right now. Their recent projects from collaborators like Tyler, The Creator, and Takahiro Miyashita have been lighting up the sneaker world, and that energy continues this Summer with a new highly customizable Chuck Taylor All Star.

The Converse Chuck Taylor has reached just about every circle of popular culture, from their debut on the basketball court to becoming one of the most important sneakers of the past 50 years.  In that time, the All-Star has taken on dozens of new variations and colorways, allowing fans to express themselves in any number of ways. Now, Converse is wearers to create their own unique looks, thanks to a new cut-away customization format. This new version of the Chuck High adds extra layers of canvas to the collar and tongue, as well as instructions for how to remove them. Once exposed, the layers underneath show off contrasting colors to the main body, like red for the black pair and black for the white pair.

Converse’s latest innovation for customizable Chuck Taylor All-Stars has not yet been given an official release date, though they are expected to hit shelves in July of this year.  The contrasting colorways will be available from both Converse and select retailers for $75 each.
