Boston brands Concepts and New Balance ended their year on a high note with the champagne-inspired “Saignée” 740. Now, they’ve unveiled a follow-up release, this time casting the shoe in a “Brut” green color scheme.
New Balance’s retro release of the 740 landed in Fall of 2024, reviving the early-2010s runner as a repurposed lifestyle shoe. They kicked off the releases with a project with Aminé, followed by several in-line colorways past few months, and ended the year with a project from Concepts. Now, the Boston retailer has unveiled a second pair in the same champagne theme, with a fresh color palette.
Concepts’ second release of the NB 740 is coming next week, and sticks to the champagne-inspired look of its predecessor. This time, the shoe comes in a “Brut” color scheme, beginning with a dark olive mesh base. Synthetic overlays are added in lime and forest green shades, while a brown ‘N’ logo stands out on either side. Bright orange tongues add a bit more flare to the palette, while black soles complete the look.
