Casablanca’s debut collection with New Balance turned heads early in 2020, as many sneakerheads were surprised by the unveiling of the new 327 runner. Now, the two are onto their third project in the Idealisté line, giving an early look at what’s to come in 2021.

Parisian fashion label Casablanca and New Balance made their mark on the sneaker world last year when the two debuted the 327 runner, a sleek, retro-inspired look built for the country club. The 327 was an immediate success, eventually flooding into New Balance’s in-line release calendar for 2020, and emerging as one of the most popular silhouettes of the year. Now, Casablanca and New Balance are readying their third installment in the ongoing Idealisté campaign, and once again, they are introducing another new shoe alongside a premium edition of the 327. Both pairs follow the same design direction for this release, though one is still unknown to us at this moment. Both the 327 and unknown pair begins with perforated white leather base layers, while intricate red and green patterned suede makes up the mudguards and heel counters. Oversized New Balance ‘N’ logos stand out on either shoe in red with a dark green border, while cream white tongues peak out behind solid white lacing. Strips of floral patterns stretch down each tongue, while co-branded insoles complete the new shoes.

The latest project from New Balance and Parisian label Casablanca has not yet been announced for release, though the collaboration is expected to drop sometime early in the new year. Once again featuring the 327 as well as adding a similar new model, the highly-detailed pairs will likely be available exclusively from Casablanca, with a premium price tag attached. UPDATE 2/10/2021: Casablanca shared the first official look at the brand’s upcoming New Balance 327 “Monogram Edition” last week, teasing the upcoming release alongside a matching colorway of the new 237 silhouette. While exact details have yet to be unveiled, the next project from Casablanca and New Balance is said to be coming soon.
