The New Balance 2002R is doing numbers for the Boston brand, selling out in nearly every style released so far. Now, the Boston brand has tapped artist Bryant Giles to deliver his take on the versatile runner, coming soon.

Earlier this season, we got an early look at a new collaboration between New Balance and artist Bryant Giles. Featuring the massively popular 2002R, Giles’ signature abstract style is applied across the canvas upper through embroidery. Now, the two have added a second pair to their project, this time in the form of the slip-on 2002R Mule that is gearing up to make its debut in the near future. Dressed in cream white and seemingly constructed from the same frayed canvas materials, the laceless modified version of the runner adds even more of Giles’ artwork to the upper, though this pair utilizes prints in favor of the more intricate embroidery process. The 2002R Mule also features removable velcro ‘N’ logos, which may indicate a bit of customization could be possible.

This cream white pair will likely release from Giles’ personal store as well as select NB retailers for $150+.
