Los Angeles-based design studio Bricks & Wood is on a tear of exciting projects this year, from a collaboration with Union to their recent project with New Balance, featuring a bold green 57/40 that releases again this week.
The partnership between South Central’s Bricks & Wood and New Balance was announced just a few weeks ago, and already the two are ready to debut a banger of a special project. Featuring the new 57/40 as the canvas, Bricks & Wood transformed the silhouette with a color scheme inspired by their home in Los Angeles. The look begins with a deep forest green base layer made from mesh, before layering pigskin suede overlays on top in the same forest green shade. The New Balance ‘N’ stands out in cream white with reflective silver backing, a detail that is echoed on the heel tabs. The midsole comes in two-tone off-white and an aged yellow shade, along with a brick red outsole to complete the look.

The debut project from Los Angeles’ Bricks & Wood design studio and New Balance, the 57/40 “From South Central With Love”, has been scheduled to launch later this week, on June 4th, 2021. Following last week’s release directly from B&W, this drop will be available directly from NewBalance.com for $150.
