The Nike Air Max 1 has been all the rage for the last year. After the Swoosh reintroduced the silhouette in a new “Anniversary” format, the AM1 is back in a new Premium rendition, with a clean black & red iteration arriving later this Summer.
Nike is going crazy with Air Max 1 releases this year, and with good reason. Originally released in 1989, the Air Max 1 struck a chord with runners and sneaker fanatics alike due to its sleek profile and extremely comfortable fit. Since then, the silhouette has evolved endlessly, experimenting with different stylings and new materials, until finally settling into the now-coveted “Anniversary” iteration from 2017. However, the Swoosh is still bringing out their Premium take on the Air Max 1 to appease the hardened collectors. The latest colorway to grace the luxurious take on the Air Max 1 is Nike’s signature “Bred” look. The suede upper is covered in a pitch black tone with grey accents on the Swoosh and toe box. Finally, the look is complete with a mini red Swoosh on the toe, red outsole hits, and a vibrant red airbag.

The next premium Nike Air Max 1 is scheduled to launch on August 11th, 2018. The sleek new “Bred” colorway will likely retail for around $140, the current standard for a luxurious AM1.
