Los Angeles-based brand Brain Dead is reuniting with Vans for their second collection, crafting a mixed bag of colorways across classic Vault by Vans sneakers. The ‘Multicolor’ pack Half Cabs and Lampins released first, and are available now.
Brain Dead is known for their eclectic projects, covering all the bases from climbing gear to home goods and sneakers. Founder Kyle Ng has amassed a number of collaborations under the brand’s belt, most notably teaming up with Reebok and Vans for their footwear offerings. This week, the Los Angeles brand debuted their latest project with Vans’ Vault team, dropping the first half of their second collection together. This piece of the project features the Half-Cab and Lampin, two classic sneakers by the legendary skateboarding brand. Forming the ‘Multicolor’ pack, both silhouettes feature colorful suede paneling across both uppers, united by Brain Dead-branded laces for both. The second part of the collection, launching next month, takes BD’s iconic head logo and applies it as a pattern across the upper of the Authentic and Slip-On, mimicking Vans’ own iconic checkerboard logo.
BRAIN DEAD X VANS MULTICOLOR PACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest project from the Los Angeles duo of Brain Dead and Vans debuted earlier this week, releasing the Half Cab and Lampin via their website, where they are still available in select sizes for $105 and $95, respectively. The checkerboard Slip-On and Authentic are still waiting to drop, expected on July 5th, along with a wider release at select Vault by Vans retailers.
