Japanese brand BEAMS is back with a new signature New Balance project for Spring 2024. This time, the two are reworking the 550 with an indigo color theme, featuring asymmetrical colors and blocking.
BEAMS is a prolific collaborator in the sneaker world, teaming up with a wide range of footwear companies to produce signature colorways of iconic silhouettes. Recently, they teamed up with Paris’ PaperBoy and Asics for a special-edition GT-2160. Now, they have unveiled their latest work with New Balance, taking on the retro 550 and giving it an “Indigo” makeover. The pair features an asymmetrical construction, mixing various shades of blue to showcase how varying the results of indigo dyeing can be. Navy, vintage indigo, arctic, and light arctic blue make up the shoes, adding white midsoles and three lace options to complete this release.
