The partnership between Japanese fashion label AURALEE and New Balance is growing, having kicked off earlier this year with their first collaborative release, the NB 550. Now, the two are showing off two colorways of the 2002R, dropping next Spring.

Founded in 2015 by Ryota Iwai, Japan’s AURALEE sources premium fabrics from around the world and transforms them into top-notch garments sewn together entirely in Japan. The brand has become known for its takes on ‘elevated’ basics, offering silhouettes like simple sweaters and work shirts to straight-legged pants and shorts. Recently, AURALEE has drummed up a relationship with New Balance, whos heavy presence in Japan is explored through their Tokyo Design Studio. Earlier this year, AURALEE debuted a special colorway of the NB 550, presented in monotone cream white with high-grade leathers. Now, the new partners are turning their attention to another incredibly popular New Balance model of the moment, the 2002R. Cast in similar tonal renditions as the previous project, these pairs use a range of leathers and suedes to achieve their unique looks, offered in matching white and yellow color schemes.
