The Staple Pigeon symbol has appeared on sneakers from brands across the world, including the likes of FILA, PUMA, Nike, Ewing, Clarks, Cole Haan, and more. Now, New York-based brand adds New balance to the list, thanks to the Pigeon X-Racer, coming soon.

Jeff Staple’s famous Pigeon logo is still set to debut on a new shoe this year, just not the one we originally thought. This week, atmos, New Balance, and Jeff himself teased an upcoming three-way collaboration between the various parties, that sees the legendary pigeon symbol applied boldly to New Balance X-Racer All-Terrain. A surprise indeed, this is the first time Staple has teamed up with New Balance, so we are glad to see the eye-catching logo reappear here. The new project applies a somewhat split color scheme to the New Balance X-Racer, starting with a blacked-out forefoot, from the toe box to mudguard and midsole, while the midfoot and heel feature a plain white base layer reinforced by layers of black, purple, and grey material. The pigeon logo itself graces the lateral heels of each shoe, shown in full-color embroidery on the left, while the right shoe is simply a black silhouette. The release is also accompanied by a small apparel collection, including hoodies and t-shirts.
