Kiko Kostadinov’s stint as the creative director of ASICS SportStyle continues this month with a new release, updating their take on the GEL-Kayano 20 for the UB10-S version. The complex tech runner drops in “Hunter Green” and “Glacier Grey” this month.
The ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 has had an impressive run this year, as the latest retro performance silhouette to be repurposed for their SportStyle category. The silhouette is only eleven years old, and its technical aspects are still decently modern, making the GK20 a perfect all-around sneaker for the modern style. The shoe has had a range of in-line and collaborative releases, including the UB9-S variant from the Kiko Kostadinov design camp. This week, they are introducing a follow-up; the UB10-S variant.
The latest edition of the GEL-Kayano 20 from the Kiko SportStyle division does not appear to be tall that different from its UB9 predecessor. The shoe features the same mesh and synthetic construction, but tones down the bright colors and patterns for this Fall release. First up, the Hunter Green pair adds accents in a bright gold tone as well as a minty green shade. The Glacier Grey style is simpler, mixing white, tan, and black with just a hint of royal blue at the heels.

The latest ASICS sneaker from the creative direction of Kiko Kostadinov, the UB10-S GEL-Kayano 20 pack, has been scheduled to release this month, on November 10th, 2024. Featuring “Hunter Green” and “Glacier Grey” colorways of the technical runner, pairs will be available from the brand’s website for $200.
