Asics SportStyle division is back. After a few months off, the brand’s hybrid subdivision is here to introduce its latest silhouette, blending the lines between style and athleticism. Titled the GEL-MIQRUM, the silhouette debuts a brand new underfoot GEL midsole unit.
Asics SportStyle division is expanding this year, offering a growing range of footwear and apparel built for the purpose of blurring the lines between street clothes and athletic gear. This week, the Japanese brand unveiled the next footwear silhouette to be added to the SportStyle lineup later this year, titled the GEL-MIQRUM. Shown off in a mix of grey, black, and neon green hues, the Asics GEL-MIQRUM borrows from the brand’s GEL lineup in both shape and overall construction. To begin, the MIQRUM features a mesh base layer, reinforced by both taped and stitched overlays along with the quarter panels and toebox. The tongue features a standard construction, keeping away from the split build sometimes features in GEL models. Finally, the GEL-MIQRUM incorporates a brand new midsole, made from sculpted EVA rubber and a GEL insert under the heel.

Asics SportStyle’s next addition to their expanding lineup, the GEL-MIQRUM, has been announced for release later this year, on September 1st, 2020. The sleek new runner-inspired silhouette will be available from both Asics and select retailers, though no pricing information has been revealed as of yet.
