Every year, sneaker brands drop a new offering of winter-ready footwear, and 2020 is no different, despite unusual circumstances. This year, Asics has reworked several GEL-based models in waterproof Gore-Tex for the new “Winterized” collection, available now.

Asics’ vast range of GEL cushioning-equipped sneakers grows by the month, with new models and colorways releasing regularly. This week, the Japanese running brand is reworking some classic GEL styles to be more weather-resistant for winter, constructed with Gore-Tex fabrics to make them more water-repellant as a part of the new “Winterized” pack. Consisting of the GEL-Lyte III, GEL-Nandi Hi, and the GEL-Quantum 180, this three-pack remixes the construction of each silhouette, with the GLIII receiving the most extensive makeover to insert a zipper closure over the tongue and beneath the lacing. To keep continuity throughout this collection, all three pairs feature a black and grey color scheme, with bright teal, purple, and red accents to complete the look.
