Asics lineup of archival silhouettes has been holding strong for many years now, and they’re not going away. This week, a new color scheme of their fan-favorite Gel Saga released overseas, sporting an all-white makeup with metallic gold and red accents.
Asics’ Gel technology has been on fire for over two decades, filling soles across the world with its squishy comfort and support. One of the most common, and beloved, of the many shoes it has been inserted into is the Gel Saga, a sleek runner originally debuted in the 1990s. This week, the vintage silhouette launched overseas in an exciting new look, which adds metallic hits across the brand’s signature stripes and heel counter. The stripes come in red, with gold lining accents, which match the heel elements as well as the gold lace eyelets near the throat of the shoe.
Asics’ latest colorway of the retro Gel Saga has hit select retailers overseas, so we can expect to see a stateside release sometime in the next few weeks. The metallic accented colorway will likely go for a retail price of around $120 and will be available from a variety of Asics dealers.
