The Asics GEL series has been a hit in recent years, thanks to a renewed interest in vintage sneakers. This week, the Japanese running brand released new colorways of the fan-favorite runner, including the subtle new “Piedmont Grey” look, available now.

The Asics GEL-Lyte III is going big in 2020, and with good reason. This year is the 30th anniversary of the legendary Asics silhouette, designed and originally released way back in 1990 when both the technology inside and the construction were both cutting-edge. With projects from the likes of Sean Wotherspoon and COMME des GARÇON well on the way, there is much to look forward to, but perhaps the most exciting releases are the continued renovation of the original GLIII color schemes, like this week’s “Piedmont Grey” release. Constructed from as much original material as possible, this look layers monotone grey suede for the upper, even matching the tone for the EVA rubber midsole underfoot.
