Asics retro silhouettes are everywhere right now, with the Japanese brand taking over as the go-to source for ‘dad’ sneakers. The GEL-Kayano 14 is still having its moment this year, and the brand has new colors like this “Denim Blue” pair ready to go for Fall 2024.
Asics’ GEL-Kayano 14 retro has been incredibly well received by the sneaker community in the last few years. When the model first released in 2008, it was heralded by runners for its performance value, thanks to its high-end GEL cushioning in the midsole. The fourteenth model in the series, it won a number of awards for running sneakers before being retired for later iterations.
Luckily, the Kayano 14 has been repurposed for Asics’ extensive SportStyle category in recent years, which reimagines their greatest hits of performance shoes for everyday wear. The model has been the focus of a number of popular collaborations, namely Kith and Kiko Kostadinov, as well as an excellent array of standard-issue colors. Coming in September, a new “Denim Blue” pair pits the shoe in white mesh with cream midsoles, adding overlays in either metallic silver or metallic blue.

Asics’ latest colorway of their retro GEL-Kayano 14 has not been publicly given a release date yet, but are expected to arrive in September 2024. The new “Denim Blue” look will be available from the brand’s website along with a range of select retailers, with a price tag of $180.
