Asics sneakers can be found nearly anywhere in the modern world, from the feet of die-hard sneakerheads and runners to cushioning the feet of the elderly, and everyone in between. Over the years, the brand’s unique style has been adopted and adapted by many, and this week, Asics plans to pay homage to a very specific sense of style with the new “Academic Scholar” collection. Based on fashion from the 90s prep wave, the new collection pits three silhouettes, the GEL Kayano 5, GEL Kayano 26, and GEL Nimbus 21 in matching colorways of maroon red, navy blue, and forest green.

Asics’ new “Academic Scholar” collection, inspired by vintage 90’s prep school fashion, has been scheduled to release later this week on September 6th, 2019. The three-pack of footwear, the GEL Kayano 5, GEL Kayano 26, and GEL Nimbus 21, will retail at their usual price points, which range from $150-$170, and will be available from both Asics and select retailers.
