New Balance’s long list of collaborators is gaining a new member this year, Chinese streetwear label ANB Brand. Featuring two colorways of the 550, pairs will be available later this year.
Chinese streetwear label ANB Brand has been providing their native country with accessible and stylish apparel since 2009. Founded by Aaron C, the brand has recently begun to team up with New Balance for a number of special releases, kicking off the relationship with navy blue pairs of the 327 and CT300 earlier this year. Now, teaser images of a new collaboration between the two have emerged, showing off ANB-branded pairs of the 550 in two styles. The first look features a white leather upper with navy blue nylon underlays along the heel, and other navy blue accents for the inner lining and edges of each leather piece. Both the tongue and 550 branding are added in gold foil, while an extra NB wordmark appears along each toe. The second pair is darker, consisting of a tonal navy blue suede and nylon construction for much of the upper, while cream white tongues and laces complete the look.

The upcoming project from China’s ANB Brand and New Balance has not been announced for release, though they are likely to drop sometime in 2022. More than likely a China-exclusive release, the two pairs of the 550 will be available from NB’s Chinese website, though we will keep you posted on an international release.
