The first ever women’s pair of Air Jordans is set to make a retro return this month.

Debuted all the way back in 1998, this sneaker marked the first time women saw their own exclusive silhouette. Now that we’re used to seeing women-exclusive colorways a couple of times a year, the model bridged the gap between athlete and recognition as well as sneakerheads and laddies with acceptance.

Now that Jordan brand will be releasing their second women’s sneaker this month as well the, Max 200 XX, it’s only right to celebrate where it began. The sneaker arrives with a very similar upper to the Jordan 13 with smooth buttery leather being showcased through most of the upper. It’s white base os accompanied with black overlays, red Jumpman branding, and texturizing perforated marks. The midsole shares both white and black while a carbon fiber plate adds support on the outsole. Finishing off the design, a w is placed on the heel to reinforce the women’s silhouette along with the coveted Jumpman logo.
