Debuted in 2013, the Air Jordan 5 Shanghai Shen is set to return this year in a Retro Red colorway for an alternate version that many will be out to get.

Released in 2013 exclusively in China, the “Shanghai Shen” colorway has become one of the most popular iterations of the Air Jordan 5 to date. Boasting a large secondary market price of around $700, it’s safe to say sneakerheads have been all over the pair. The model has been a popular one thus far in 2020 and we just got word on the Tokyo Retro, and now Jordan Brand will be turning up the heat with an alternate Red Shanghai Shen edition rumored to release later this year. The original black nubuck upper will be painted red while it appears black accents will be used throughout. A Gold medallion is still stamped on the lower ankles as a shoutout to Shanghai and to provide the OG aesthetic we all crave.

As of now, this release has not been confirmed and is still a rumor, but we expect more clarity on the expected upcoming release to surface very soon, so make sure to keep it locked to JustFreshKicks for all the updates moving forward. A teaser image will be linked below, so enjoy the first look and make sure to stay tuned for more of the latest Air Jordan news.

UPDATE: Like the Tokyo that also leaked, it looks like the Shanghai Shen red color scheme will also be part of this year’s Air Jordan 5 What The rendition. Keep it locked for more looks & other updates.
