The Air Jordan 3 has been favored by sneakerheads since 1988, known largely for its clean and simple, but eye-catching colorways. However, this year Jordan Brand is ready to stray away from their norm with a bold new “Animal Pack”.
The Air Jordan 3’s anniversary celebration last year felt slightly sub-par in comparison to other great Jays, like the original 1. However, if the brand’s release patterns are any indication, they’ve been taking their time with retro Jordan releases, extending these anniversary years into several, and reinvigorating the Jordan community along the way. This week, an exciting new take on the legendary Air Jordan 3 surfaced on social media, showing two colorways of the ’88 classic decked out in various animal furs and patterns. Dubbed the “Animal Pack”, one colorway features an all-black upper constructed from pony hair and snakeskin mounted on a gum sole, while the second mixed tiger stripes with snakeskin accents on top of a smooth suede upper. Both shoes feature gold hardware for the lacing system and eyelets, while Jumpman logos on the tongues complete the look.

The special edition Air Jordan 3 “Animal” pack is rumored to be releasing sometime this Fall, though no specific date is currently available. Both pairs will likely carry retail prices above the standard $190, and release from both Nike and select retailers.
