New Balance’s 1300 silhouette is primed for a big year in 2020, from collaborations with Levi’s to the modernized RC_1300. Now, Aimé Leon Dore founder and designer Teddy Santis has shared a teaser for his next project, the 1300.

Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance are already back with their second project of 2020. Following up on the brand’s revival of the retro 827 runner, this week, Aimé founder and designer Teddy Santis shared an up-close teaser of their latest work with the Boston-based footwear brand, this time utilizing the fan-favorite 1300 as their canvas. Only released every five years, the New Balance 1300 is back this year, initially debuted across the globe in various contributions and colorways based on the country they were produced in. Now, it appears the NB 1300 is ready for the collaborative circuit, and ALD is the first at-bat. While Santis’ teaser image only gives us a look at the shoe’s tongue and quarter panel, they tell us more than we need to know about the next Aimé Leon Dore New Balance. The 1300 is rebuilt with a shaggy suede in forest green for the quarter panels, echoing many of the design factors of past ALD x NB releases. The tongue features dual branding in a matching green tone, while an off-white french terry lining is also present.
