The adidas Ultra Boost is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance in 2019. After the premiere of the Three Stripes’ new 2019 version, a wild new approach to the franchise, the brand has officially revealed their latest iteration of the standard Ultra Boost: the S&L. While it remains unclear just what the S&L abbreviation stands for, some design cues from the shoe suggest they reference the suede and leather applied across the Ultra Boost’s knit upper. Regardless of what it means, fans of the silhouette are here for it. The initial reveal showcased a grey colorway with green accents, before an official release from adidas UK previewed two more color schemes. The first features a deep navy blue Primeknit upper with brighter Legend Marine accents, while the second dress the Ultra Boost in black and grey with red hits around the shoe.

The luxurious new adidas Ultra Boost is already available in its red and blue color scheme on the brand’s UK website, with a stateside release expected soon. The leather and nubuck version of the Ultra Boost carries a retail price of approximately $200, and will launch from both adidas and select retailers.
