adidas Terrex has been a quiet, but dominant force in the world of outdoor gear. Transforming the best of the Three Stripes’ tech into trail ready shoes, this week, the Free Hiker debuts a new sustainability model focused on upcycling.

adidas’ outdoor division, Terrex, has been pumping out some extremely cool hiking and trail sneakers over the past few years. The standout, flagship sneaker currently offered by Terrex is likely the Free Hiker, a high-top, water-proof trail sneaker built on the platform of adidas Running’s older Solar Boost models. Combining Boost with continental rubber, Gore-Tex, and incredible comfort, the Free Hiker has quietly been one of the best outdoor shoes on the market for some time now. It gets even better this week, as the Terrex team has introduced a new Nothing Left Behind initiative, a new upcycling take on the sustainability approach from sneaker brands that, in addition to using recycling fibers to make new textiles, repurposes leftover pieces to create all new colorways. Debuted in this multi-color look for both men and women, we expect the Nothing Left Behind line to grow throughout 2022.
