Ever wonder how Boost would perform in anti-gravity living conditions? It looks like we’re going to find out as adidas has partnered with the International Space Station (ISS) to explore new technology and to test the boundaries of product innovation.

adidas is braking boundaries with product innovation. As they have already been successful with the 4D carbon shoe and reduced ocean trash with their collaboration with Parley, they’re definitely all in for creating a better tomorrow while doing their best effort in testing and providing the best sneakers possible. As part of their commitment to lead their field with new innovation they have partnered with ISS to send Boost to space. They will be the first ever company to test shoe innovation in the tough conditions of outer space. While Space doesn’t have gravity, their coveted Boost technology will be put to the test in never before seen conditions to enhance performance aspects as well as launch new pathways to futuristic innovation.

It’s set to launch in 2020 as adidas’ Boost technology and footwear will be sent to space in a SpaceX cargo ship where astronauts will be testing the technology without the distraction of gravity. Their main mission is to uncover if it’s possible to produce Boost midsoles with different particle sizes, something that scientists say will enhance and optimize footwear performance and comfort.

Check out images below and stay tuned for more details on the mission and other facts. We also expect to see the launch of the adidas Ultra Boost 20 alongside the information so keep it locked to JustFreshKicks for more details.
