Japanese streetwear brand BAPE and New Balance teamed up earlier this year for a small collection of the Boston brand’s 2002R. Now, it appears the AAPE sub-label will also get to work with New Balance, this time releasing three colorways of the 703.

AAPE’s foray into footwear is a more recent project for the Japanese brand, one that even included their own in-house sneakers a few years ago (check out our review on the unique silhouettes here). Now, the Bathing Ape sub-label is leaning into a more collaborative approach, teaming up with some well-known sneaker brands for special-edition releases. This week, we got an early look at an upcoming project with New Balance, which sees AAPE take on the trail-ready 703 in a three-pack of new colorways. Featuring a heavily layered upper and chunky midsole, AAPE is offering the 703 in your choice of beige, army green, and black.

The upcoming project from Japan’s AAPE and New Balance has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in the Fall of 2021. Dropping in beige, army green, and black colorways, each pair will come with a price tag of $130, likely launching from both AAPE and New Balance. Check out the early images below for a better look a the collection, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more New Balance release news.
