Converse and A-COLD-WALL* have teamed up to push the boundaries of conceptual footwear design, bringing to life the Aeon Active CX, a sporty new look straight from the mind of Samuel Ross.
The partnership between American footwear brand Converse and Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL* is nothing new in the sneaker world. The London fashion label has teamed up with Cons periodically in the past few years, launching exciting new versions of classic sneaker infused with radical design from the COLD-WALL* team. Now, the two are trying something fresh, merging the design sensibilities of ACW with Converse’s advanced technologies to create the new Aeon Active CW silhouette. Featuring a laceless bootie for the upper and an oversized midsole to fit drop-in insteps, the Aeon looks nothing like your typical Converse sneaker. Constructed from a mix of synthetic meshes and natural suedes, the layered upper provides a striking visual when placed on top of the rough, unrefined Crater foam midsole. Covered from heel to toe in A-COLD-WALL* branding, the Aeon Active CX is available today.
A-COLD-WALL* X CONVERSE AEON ACTIVE CX RELEASE INFORMATION
The new project from Converse and A-COLD-WALL*, debuting the Aeon Active CX, launches initially today, April 6th, directly from the London brand’s website. The limited release will then be followed by a global drop on April 12th, releasing from Nike’s SNKRS app as well as select retailers for $160. UPDATE 5/8/22: Following some delays, the Black/Apple Green colorway of A-Cold-Wall’s Converse Aeon Active CX has been set to release on May 12th, 2022. Dropping via the SNKRS app, the wild new design from Converse is still set for a wider release in the coming weeks.
