The Air Jordan 4 is gearing up for Summer with a new floral-inspired look this season. Dressed in shades of white, the shoe’s outsoles borrow colors from Birds of Paradise flowers. The release is expected in July.
Jordan Brand has been locked in on the Air Jordan 4 for the past few years, giving the model some time in the spotlight after the dominance of the AJ1 in the late 2010s through 2022. Releases have been plentiful, delivering iconic retros, fresh new ideas, and some high-profile collaborations through their partners like AMM, Nigel Sylvester, and (hopefully soon) J Balvin. This week, we have an early look at a new pair for Summer, which takes inspiration from exotic flowers for the “Birds of Paradise” colorway.
Birds of Paradise flowers are native to South Africa, but can be found in many well-maintained gardens and conservatories around the world. Named for its appearance of a bird in flight and bright colors, the look has been subtly translated onto this special release of the Air Jordan 4. The shoe features a leather upper in Coconut Milk white, paired with a suede mudguard around the toes. Yellowed plastic pieces make up the shoe’s lacing elements, with metallic gold Jumpman logos on each heel. The outsole brings all of the color for this release, mixing Mango and Sundial shades of yellow and orange with a deep navy blue for the toes and heels. The shoes will come in a special box featuring paintings of the titular flowers.

The next special-edition release of the Air Jordan 4 has not been announced yet, but is rumored to release on July 10th, 2026. This pair, arriving just in time for Summer, comes in an off-white Coconut Milk leather upper the “Birds of Paradise” colors making up the shoe’s outsole. Pairs will be available through the SNKRS app and select retailers for $220.
