Edison Chen’s CLOT has been working with adidas for a few years now, having firmly established their joint aesthetic with mashup footwear offerings. This season, their Superstar Dress silhouette returns, with a freshly brewed “Coffee” colorway.
CLOT’s relationship with adidas is a drastic departure from their work with Nike over their nearly 20-year relationship. The CLOT x Nike releases were largely rooted in streetwear, with a huge emphasis on founder Edison Chen’s Asian heritage. With adidas, the design choices have aged with Chen, whose first CLOT sneaker collaboration released when he was twenty-six years old. Now, inspiration for their adidas projects comes from formal dress shoes, as well as traditional, handmade footwear like their espadrille-soled models. This week, the Superstar Dress has surfaced in a new look for Spring 2026, returning to the gussied-up model that marked the unveiling of CLOT x adidas. This time, the Superstar comes dressed in a “Coffee” color scheme, which pits the silhouette in white leather uppers, adding accents in both dark and light shades of rich brown tones.

The next release of the dress shoe-inspired adidas Superstar from CLOT has been scheduled to release next week, on March 7th, 2026. The latest style for the custom silhouette covers the main body in white, and pairs it with several shades of “Coffee” brown tones. Pairs will be available from both adidas and select retailers for $200.
