Hellstar was turning heads all weekend with their new adidas collaboration for the NBA All-Star Weekend. During the main event on Sunday, Anthony Edwards debuted a second pair of his AE2, dressed in black and silver.
The collaboration between Hellstar and adidas expanded dramatically this week, after their first link up released last year via ComplexCon. The two descended on Los Angeles for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend, bringing with them a second rendition of the highly detailed Superstar in “Sandstone” camouflage, as well as their first foray into performance shoes with a matching AE2, Anthony Edwards’ signature model. Over the course of the weekend, the two unveiled a second colorway of the AE2, this time dressed in black camouflage with chrome silver molded portions and blinding red accents. Edwards’ donned this pair for the main event of the weekend on Sunday night, while more pairs were spotted at the special release pop-up over the course of the three-day weekend.
The “Sandstone” colorways of both the Superstar and AE2 were among adidas’ flagship releases for All-Star 2026, but the black and silver look was not made available to the public. Currently we are still waiting on details regarding a wide release of both sneakers, and hoping fervently that the black & chrome look will make its way into the hands of the public, though that seems unlikely right now. Having a special F&F or player-exclusive colorway is not unheard of with these special collaborations, and this is shaping up to be one of those elusive, legendary styles. Nonetheless, we will update this story with any new information that arises.
