Union’s next project with Nike has surfaced this week, ahead of a rumored Summer release. This time, the LA brand is taking on the retro Field General in three colorways.

Union and Nike are adding a new sneaker silhouette to their extensive catalog of releases in 2024. Featuring the Field General for their next project, the shoe was originally released in the 1980s as a turf shoe, before being reworked into a cleat in the mid-2010s. The new version modifies the 2014 Field General 82 with Hyperfuse technology, which looks like a hybrid of the Dunk Low and Air Force 1. With three colors expected to arrive this Summer, the “Silt Red” pair has surfaced first, dressing the shoe in shades of dark red, off white, and brown, with a hint of bright pink.

Union’s take on the Nike Field General has not been announced for release, but is rumored to arrive sometime in Summer 2024. Seen here in the “Silt Red” colorway, two more colorways are expected to arrive, releasing from both partners as well as select retailers for $120. UPDATE 6/13/24: Union’s third colorway of their upcoming Nike Field General collaboration has surfaced this week, sporting a white, orange, and black color palette. Additionally more information about this release has come from @brandon1an on Twitter. They reported that the project is currently expected to release at the end of June 2024, with different availability for each colorway. The black pair will be the most widely available, from Union, Nike, and select retailers. White will be more limited, potentially releasing from just Union and the SNKRS app, while the red look will be a Union exclusive drop.

UPDATE 5/14/24: The first in-hand images of Union’s Nike Field General in the “Shimmer” colorway have surfaced, giving us a better look at the colors, as well as the locker-inspired packaging. The project appears to be pulling from the shoe’s football roots, with a Union-branded football as a hangtag.

UPDATE 2/15/24: New images of the Union x Nike Field General collaboration have surfaced, showing off both the “Shimmer” red and “Black” colorways.
