Stussy and Nike are on a hot streak right now, fresh off of three impressive collaborations in 2020. Now, the two are back for more, with the California-based apparel brand teasing the next project from the longtime partners via their Instagram this week.

The partnership between Los Angeles’ Stussy and Nike began in the year 2000 when the Swoosh tapped the world-renowned lifestyle brand to help debut the new Huarache running shoe, Nike’s first collaboration of the 2000s. Stussy crafted two colorways of the new running silhouette, launching them in extremely limited numbers via the brand’s London chapter store. Since then, Stussy and Nike have worked together on over a dozen different projects, each with its own unique style and story, and of course, sneakers. From Dunk Lows and Highs to Court Forces, Air Forces, Spiridons, Terminators, Free Runs, and Blazers, Stussy has had their hands on just about every Nike shoe in the vault. But this year, instead of something new, the two are reaching way back into the archives to revive the shoe that started it all: the Huarache OG. While there has been no official announcement yet in regards to this release, boutique retailers have pointed out the shoes on their order sheets for the Spring 2021 season, with a release rumored sometime in the next couple of weeks at the earliest. Once again featuring two colorways, it is currently unclear whether Stussy and Nike are simply rehashing their smooth colorways from 20+ years ago, or trying something new this time around.

The next project from Nike and Stussy has not yet been announced for release, though the California brand did tease the project via an Instagram post with the caption “C-ya soon” included. While there has been no official images or even leaks yet, boutique retailers have begun to receive the shoes, readying for a launch sometime in the coming weeks.
