Sonic the Hodegehog’s feature-length film is hitting theaters next week, after an extended development period. To celebrate, PUMA is dropping their third “Sonic” themed colorway of the RS-X3, this time taking inspiration from Doctor Eggman.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a beloved childhood character for many, so when the first iteration of the upcoming movie was revealed, the outrage was justified. Now that the character art has been fixed and balance restored amongst the fanhood, the Sonic brand is ready to roll out some exciting new gear to get ready for the movie’s 2020 release. Among these projects is a new collaboration with PUMA, who have already released two different colorways of their RS-X3 as a part of the partnership, with a third hitting shelves later this week. Themed after the villain Doctor Eggman, the new look bathes the RS-X3 in a mix of red and black hues across leather and translucent ripstop layers. The heels feature a final score, similar to those displayed in the Sonic videogame series.

The latest addition to the ongoing collaboration between PUMA and Sonic the Hedgehod is scheduled to release later this week on February 7th, 2020. The “Doctor Eggman”-like colorway will retail for the usual $120 price tag, and release from both PUMA and select retailers.
