PUMA’s collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog is back this month, just in time for the reveal of the updated trailer released last week. The new project will release in two parts, starting with a sleek new RS-X3 later this month.
Sonic the Hedgehog is a beloved childhood character for many, so when the first iteration of the upcoming movie was revealed, the outrage was justified. Now that the character art has been fixed and balance restored amongst the fanhood, the Sonic brand is ready to roll out some exciting new gear to get ready for the movie’s 2020 release. Among these projects is a new collaboration with PUMA, marking the second time the two have worked together on a footwear project. This time around, the canvas is the new RS-X3, an update to the widly popular PUMA RS-X that made its debut early in 2018. The shoe features a blacked out look with red and blue accents for the stitching and leather edges, as well as callouts to the classic HUD used when playing Sonic games. The project will also include a matching apparel set as well as a few accessories, though these are not scheduled to release until 2020.

PUMA’s latest collection with Sonic will kicked off last November with the release of the themed RS-X3. Next, the apparel and accessory collection will follow on February 7th, 2020, to coincide with the release of the upcoming movie.
