SoleFly’s founder, Carlos Prieto, recently showcased this never-before-seen Air Jordan 8, which seamlessly integrates Nike Air Diamond Turf elements. The design mirrors the classic “Playoff” colorway of the Air Jordan 8 but introduces fresh twists. Golden accents, a distinctive SoleFly hangtag, and lace tips complement a luxurious black nubuck upper. The red inner lining and pristine white midsole add contrast and depth to the design. The golden textile panel, reminiscent of Deion Sander’s Nike Air Diamond Turf, truly sets this sneaker apart, replacing the AJ8’s traditional perforated side.
While the showcased version is a nod to the “Playoffs” colorway with its gold hardware, white midsoles, and red lining, another iteration delves deeper into the Diamond Turf inspiration. This version prominently features the dark, golden textile that became synonymous with the 1994 cross-trainer.
