adidas Communitas is back, fresh off the release of the Footpatrol ZX Torsion last month. This time around, the Consortium team is hopping across the Atlantic ocean for a stop in Charlotte, North Carolina to work with Social Status on a set of new POD S3.1 colorways.

adidas Communitas first made its debut earlier this year, when the Consortium sector of the Three Stripes teamed up with Copenhagen’s Naked to create the Magmur silhouette. The project is intended to bring footwear design to the locals of a community, inspiring a new silhouette or colorway through local events. Social Status has taken inspiration from the youthful creativity of Atlanta, one of their store locations, and applied it to the POD System 3.1 in two new colorways, one black and one white. The black pair, which will see a global release from Consortium retailers, features a jet black upper reconstructed with a new knit base layer and supporting cages constructed from suede. Bright colorful accents are added to the three-piece sole and sockliner in red, purple, green, blue, and yellow. The second pair in the set, a white colorway which will release exclusively from Social Status, adds hints of orange, purple, red, and green to complete the look.
