Now that we are near the end of March and the Final Four is approaching, we have put together a sneaker guide for some of the best sneakers we have seen during the tournament. This guide features shoes that were designed to pay tribute to and honor the many athlete’s alma maters.
Dunk Low ‘Michigan State’
With the Dunk Low a fan-favorite silhouette, it is of no surprise to have the Dunk Low ‘Michigan State’ a part of our March madness lineup. The shoe features a simple colorway of green and white. The OG pair was released back in 2021, but a similar pair with a Satin finish is expected to drop in the coming months.
Air Jordan 5 Retro SE ‘UNC’
Earlier this year, the popular “UNC” treatment debuted on the Air Jordan 5 silhouette. The pair features a University Blue, Black, and Metallic Silver color scheme that nods to MJ’s alma mater, The University of North Carolina.

Dunk Low ‘UCLA’
This next Dunk Low is decked out in UCLA Bruin colors. The sneaker arrives in a full leather design that sports a two-tone University Gold and Royal Blue colorway. The sneaker opts for yellow base paneling on the sides and toes, while blue overlays are seen throughout. Golden yellow laces tie the sneaker down while a tow-toned tongue label incorporates the two shades. The sneaker is finished off with a white rubber midsole and blue rubber outsole.

Blazer Mid ’77 University of Oregon Football ‘PE’
GOAT and Division Street have released three colorways of the Nike Blazer Mid ’77, each representing the various Oregon athletic teams. The shoes were released exclusively on GOAT in December 2022. The pairs feature an image of the ‘The Oregon Duck’ mascot on the sides and the Oregon Logo on the heel tab. Each shoe also comes individually numbered and delivered in a special edition box.

Kyrie 3 ‘Duke’
Since many fans believe Kyrie Irving’s line of shoes with Nike is one of the best Basketball sneakers you could wear on the courts, it is no surprise to see his shoes displayed by players during March Madness. One model, in particular, is the Nike Kyrie 3 “Duke,” which, like most other College inspired shoes, gives a nod to his alma mater. This Blue Devil style colorway features a royal blue upper with Black and White details on the swoosh, logos, and ‘DUKE’ text which wraps around the sides of the shoe.

Ultra 4D ‘Miami Hurricanes’
This Miami Hurricanes-themed Ultra 4D colorway has gotten many fans excited. The pair features a Collegiate Green, Footwear White, and Collegiate Orange color scheme. A knitted green and orange upper is seen with green and orange detailing on the Three Stripes, lace cage, lacing system, and heel clip. A white 4D midsole is placed underneath, with a black outsole finishing off the look.

Air Trainer SC High ‘Auburn’ 2022
The Air Trainer High ‘Auburn’ pays tribute to Bo Jackson’s time playing for the University of Auburn from 1982-1985. During his final year in college, he was awarded with a Heisman Trophy. This colorway was initially released back in 2009/2013 and later re-modeled on September 3, 2022. The sneaker features a white leather base with blue and orange accents throughout.
Blazer Mid Suede ‘Texas Longhorns’
The Blazer Mid 77 Suede, “Longhorns,” joins our March Madness sneaker guide. The shoe’s upper is dressed in the University of Texas burnt orange color with accents of white seen on the laces, liner, and sole.
