Slam Jam Socialism’s first Nike Blazer released at the top of 2019, kicking off the now-beloved “Class of ’77” series of retro releases. Now, the Italian retailer has flipped the script for another release, this time in opposing colors.
The Nike Blazer has been a roll this year, thanks to a new retro version that offers a beautiful shape and dozens of colorful options for everyone. And, lets not forget the numerous collaborations the Blazer has been involved in so far this year, from projects with Stranger Things to arguably the most popular, Slam Jam Socialism’s “Class of ’77” release. Dropped back in January, the project took a standard-issue Blazer constructed from luxurious leathers and suedes and made one crucial change tot he design: flipping the Swoosh on the medial sides upside down. The sneaker community went nuts. Another example of an extremely minimal design that gives something a new life. Now, the Italian retailer is back with a second version of their iconic Blazer, this time in black.
SLAM JAM X NIKE BLAZER MID “CLASS OF ’77 – BLACK” RELEASE INFORMATION
Slam Jam’s latest colorway of their extremely popular “Class of ’77” Nike Blazer Mid has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to drop sometime in the coming weeks. The new look is a mirror version of the original, painting the upper all in black with white Swooshes and other accents, and will retial for the sam $100. UPDATE (November 6th, 2019): Slam Jam Socialism has officially announced their release method for the upcoming black colorway of their Blazer Mid ’77, and it’s not going to be easy. Starting on November 9th, just 1977 pairs of the special release will be up for raffle from Slam Jam, ending on the 29th. While there was some mention of a wider release via the Nike SNKRS app, it was slightly unclear and we cannot confirm it at this time.
