Paris Fashion Week is upon us, and brands have flocked to France to show off upcoming projects for 2026. Among them was the Italian boutique Slam Jam, who shared an early look at their take on an all-new New Balance silhouette, the 5030.
Each January, Paris plays host to a Fashion Week event, with brands flocking to the French capital to show off upcoming seasonal collections, typically for the Fall/Winter slate. In recent years, sneaker brands have thrown their hat into the ring, whether through collaborative projects or by hosting their own pop-up events to showcase new styles for the coming year. Today we’ve already taken a look at Song For the Mute‘s adidas offerings, and now New Balance has joined in on the fun, courtesy of the Italian boutique Slam Jam.
Slam Jam showed up at PFW to showcase some of their upcoming wares for 2026, as well as unveiling a brand new silhouette from New Balance. The Boston company has been present in Paris in some shape or form for several years, typically to show off new models like this 5030. The pair seen here is a collaborative version, so in-line styles of the model could vary greatly in materials and construction. SJ’s take brings a molded upper to the new model, creating the appearance of overlays and depth through patterns pressed into the material, all of which comes in a metallic silver finish. The lacing system is hidden under this stiff outer layer, dressed in black by Slam Jam. Finally, a brand new sole unit is added underneath, featuring a large section of Abzorb cushioning at the heels. While not a 1-to-1 comparison, this new sole shape is reminiscent of Asics’ GEL-Kinetic Fluent silhouette.
SLAM JAM X NEW BALANCE 5030 RELEASE INFORMATION
The brand new silhouette from New Balance, previewed by Italian retailer Slam Jam, does not have a release date yet, but is expected to debut soon in early 2026. Dubbed the 5030, the stylish new look pairs a molded upper with an aerodynamic midsole, with Slam Jam’s iteration cast in metallic silver and black. Pairs will likely be available exclusively from the retailer, and no pricing info is available yet.
