While the plaid motif has had a history of showing up throughout models across all brands, no better silhouette is ideal for the pattern than the Reebok Bolton. Originally released in the ’90’s, the model pays homage to both its predecessor and style of that decade. The instantly recognizable pattern originates back to the city of Chennai where the vibrant pattern still stands out. Surely to bring back nostalgic feelings, the size? Reebok Bolton (also donned) “Ree-cut Running Club” hits the ’90’s aesthetics right on the nail.
Although the collaboration lacks the evident dual-branding throughout the sneaker, the design itself is enough to stand out. Composed of a sued and leather upper, the model finds balance between the two materials to present a subtle yet vibrant design. Plaid pattern can be found throughout the toe, lateral sides, and the tongue alike bringing the shoe together. Imposed onto its lateral side, a Reebok Vector logo divides and accentuates the two distinct materials. The sole is composed of Reebok’s Hexalite system that is inspired by honeycombs for full comfort.
