The PUMA RS-X has been killing it this year. Between various collaborations alongside a stellar lineup of standard colorways, PUMA is on to something with the revamped Running System. This week, they teamed up with Shoe Palace for the myth-inspired “Falling Coconuts” edition.

The RS-X made a splash in the sneaker community when Puma first revealed it earlier this year. The continuation of the Running System line from the 90s, the RS-X blends the old-school Puma tech with their modern designs, and it is a hit. This week, the German sportswear giant unveiled a new project on the RS-X, which sees them teaming up with ShoePalace for a new Summer-themed look. Titled “Falling Coconuts”, the new collaboration takes its inspiration from the myth that falling coconuts kill up to 80 people per year, and the warning signs commonly seen on beaches around the world that reiterate this. The shoe mixes several white and off-white tones through the mesh and suede base layers of the shoe, before adding black overlays to the mudguard and midsole. Pastel green & pink accents adorn the heel clips and lacing system. Finally, small caution signs are added to remind you of the danger you face on beautiful beaches around the world.
