Ronnie Fieg and Asics go together like peanut butter & jelly. The two have created dozens of special edition releases over the years, and despite a small hiatus in recent months, the Kith founder is hard at work on the upcoming Gel Lyte “Super Blue” collection.

Ronnie Fieg’s numerous colorways of the Gel-Lyte III over the years are what helped bring the New York-based menswear designer to the front of the pack in 2019. Now, as Ronnie continues to expand his offerings and collaborations with other brands, he is still showing love for Asics, the brand that let him work on his first SMU while still selling shoes at David Z. This month, Ronnie has been slowly teasing an upcoming collection with the Japanese brand titled “Super Blue”, containing a variety of silhouettes and colorways with one uniting theme: blue.

The latest addition to Fieg’s expansive Asics “Super Blue” collection was previewed this week on the designer’s Instagram, showing off a new look for the Gel-Lyte III. The upper on this pair is entirely constructed from hairy white suede, while all of the Asics branding comes in a brilliant electric blue tone.

As of this writing, Ronnie has not yet announced a release date for his upcoming Asics Gel Fieg 3.1 “Super Blue” collection. However, there is definitely a pattern to see in Ronnie Fieg’s method of teasing new product, so we can reasonably expect his latest project with Asics to release sometime during the Fall season.
