Ronnie Fieg’s ongoing partnership with Asics isn’t coming to a close anytime soon. Earlier this week, the Kith founder and designer took to Instagram to share a first look at the latest in the long line of Ronnie Fieg x Asics footwear.

Ronnie Fieg’s latest project with Asics is almost here. After the Kith founder launched his Summery take on the Gel Kayano 5 last month, the designer is readying another project with the Japanese running brand, this time returning to an all-time fan favorite silhouette: the Gel-Lyte III. The last time Fieg delivered his unique take on the silhouette was back in 2016 when he dropped the now-legendary “Super Green” colorway. The new color scheme, however, is much simpler and laid back in design and presence. The entirety of the upper appears to be dyed in a faint purple hue across the nubuck and suede paneling, both of which show the same patina as previous projects. The upper sits on top of a plain white midsole, while Fieg branding is printed on the insoles to complete the look.

Ronnie Fieg’s latest project with Asics, which rebuild the Gel-Lyte III in luxurious materials with an all-purple finish, has not yet been announced for release. However, given Ronnie’s pattern of teasing then releasing, we are expecting these to arrive on Kith shelves sometime in the coming weeks, probably on a Monday. No price information is available yet either, though we expect them to land above the $160 mark. Check out Ronnie’s top-down teaser for a good look at the purple hue, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more Asics release news.
