PUMA’s return to the basketball court in the past year has been a massive success, helping push the brand to their best sales quarter in years. Now, the Hoops sector is continuing their old school releases with the Ralph Sampson Mid in a new “USA” theme.
Last year, PUMA revived their long-dormant Hoops division and renewed their presence in the National Basketball League with a slew of new brand ambassadors. Now, one year later, their success is readily evident through their presence on the court and the astronomical sales numbers they posted last quarter. Additionally, PUMA has been honoring the legacies of some of their legendary basketball sneakers from back in the day, along with the players who wore them. This month, Hall-of-Famer Ralph Sampson’s mid-top sneakers are returning in a new USA theme. The white leather base is accented by a bold blue Formstrip on either side, while a red heel counter and collar lining complete the color scheme.
